  6. A Jukebox Job Nowadays Atlantic Crossing sounds unsurprisingly archaic and I was listening to it wondering how come this kind of vocal manner was once in fashion. Gravedigger sings! “I’m a three time loser. Caught it up in Monterey, shook it up in East Virginia, now my friends say it’s here to stay”, yes, you are, Rod, except that you raked in your money in heaps.
  7. Jul 30,  · Just couldn't understand why Rod had taken this new tack. The music press, and much of the rock audience, were also dissapointed. The general populous saw the album for what it was, a successful reboot and a darn fine album. Nowadays I really love the album, even hummed Three Time Loser when cycling around Monterey CA.
  8. Other folks love this album for Rod's fantastic Ballads I Don't Want to Talk About It and Sailing. But that's not my scene. They are grand songs but not for me. I like Atlantic Crossing for Stone Cold Sober and Three Time Loser. Two very solid Rockers. The more Pop Stewart got, the more I lost interest.
